Breakthrough close in treating heart disease with adult stem cells?

An Australian scientist whose work has drawn kudos from the Vatican may be close to a breakthrough in the treatment of congenital heart failure, using stem cells derived from adult tissues.
Dr. Silviu Itescu, the chief of the Mesoblast bioengineering firm, has reported encouraging results from a form of therapy in which adult stem cells are injected directly into the heart, without requiring surgery.

And maybe it would have been a good reminder if you had ended the last sentence thusly: "without requiring surgery, and without requiring the taking of innocent, or even guilty, life."

That should be congestive heart failure, not congenital.
