Catholic leader in Jerusalem raps leaders' 'irresponsible language'

A spokesman for the Latin-rite Patriarch of Jerusalem has called upon Israeli and Palestinian leaders to avoid "irresponsible language" amid new violence in the Holy Land.

Father David Neuhaus, the vicar for Hebrew-speaking Catholics, denounced the "irresponsible language used by a leadership that is seeking to exploit tragedy in order to perpetuate tragedy.” He urged moderate Israelis and Palestinians to make their voices heard, encouraging an end to calls for violence and vengeance.
