Religious freedom rallies to take place in 154 cities

June 06, 2012

The Pro-Life Action League and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society have announced that Stand Up for Religious Freedom rallies will take place this Friday, June 8, in 154 cities in 49 states.

The “peaceful, family-friendly, non-partisan, ecumenical event” is a protest against the HHS mandate, which requires employers to offer insurance that covers contraception, sterilization, and some abortion-inducing drugs free of charge. The rallies will occur on the 223rd anniversary of the introduction of the Bill of Rights in the House of Representatives.

Stand Up for Religious Freedom rallies on March 23 attracted over 63,000 people in 145 cities.
