UK: Islamic doctor suspended for 'homophobic' opinions

The head of England's Islamic Medical Association has been suspended from the practice of medicine for one law, and required to make a formal public apology, for writing a letter to the editor of Pulse magazine in which he said that homosexual activities are "the root cause of many sexually-transmitted diseases." Dr. Muhammad Siddiq was charged with homophobia because he said that law should apply "the stick" to encourage homosexuals toward abstinence.
