Catholic Recipe: Confectioners' Icing
This delightful icing may be drizzled over any sweet bread or cake, but it is especially recommended for England's Twelfth Night Bread (see link).
1. Before icing, cool bread slightly. Place bread on wire rack. Slip waxed paper under rack. (This makes for easy clean-up.)
2. With spoon, drizzle icing back and forth across loaf.
3. If desired, add nuts or fruits as decorations before icing sets.Recipe Source: Festive Bread Book, The by Kathy Cutler, Barron's Educational Series, Inc., 1982
