GREGORIANIST
One who is expert in Gregorian chant and advocates it as "the proper chant of the Roman Church, the only chant which she has inherited from the ancient Fathers, which she has jealously guarded for so many centuries in her liturgical books and which she directly proposes to the faithful as her own music" (Pope St. Pius X, tra le Sollecitudini, 1903).
