ADULT
A person who has reached the age of maturity. In ecclesiastical terms the age varies; e.g., sixteen years is adult for men and fourteen for women to marry. But adult baptism means that one has reached the age of reason. A person is a canonical minor (Canon 88) until the completion of the twenty-first year.
