Catholic Recipe: Sausage with Green Peppers
Also Called: Salsiccia con Pepperoni
DIRECTIONS
Fry sausage in skillet, uncovered, 10 minutes over medium heat. Prick skin; turn often. Drain off most of fat.
Wash peppers; remove seeds, stem. Cut peppers in quarters. Add to sausage. Cover. Cook 10-15 minutes more.
To serve: Cut bread in 3-inch slices. Place large slice sausage on bread, cover with peppers, using 1 teaspoon dripping as sauce for each portion.
