Catholic Recipe: Simmered Carp

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1 3-4 pound carp
  • salt, pepper
  • 5 carrots, sliced
  • 5 onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup raisins

DIRECTIONS

Clean carp; cut in sections; season with salt and pepper. Place fish, sliced carrots, onions, butter, raisins in deep saucepan. Add water to cover. Cover tightly. Simmer until tender. Yield, 4 servings
