Catholic Recipe: Spritz Cookies

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons cream
  • 4-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

A traditional Christmas favorite.

DIRECTIONS

Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks, mixing well. Add cream, flavoring, then flour and mix well. Put through cookie press on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 until very lightly browned. Cookies will "set up" once more if left on cookie sheet a few minutes after taking from oven.
