These prayers are used from Ascension Thursday through Pentecost Sunday.

Prayer:

BEFORE THE MEAL

Leader: The Lord Jesus has not forsaken us. He will come back, glorious in the love of his Father. For behold, Jesus died and now lives with the Father for evermore. Alleluia!

ALL: He has gone before us. Yet he is with us for all time. Alleluia!

Leader: Lord Jesus, send your Spirit to bless this table. Give us joy in knowing the love in which we live and move and have our being, for ever and ever.

AFTER THE MEAL

Leader: Lord Jesus, because you live we too have life in abundance and have come to know the Father. To you, Lord of all, be honor and glory both now and for ever.

ALL: Amen.
