Papal prayer for persecuted Christians, especially in Iraq
CWN - November 22, 2010
Pope Benedict XVI affirmed his support for persecuted Christians, especially in Iraq, during his Angelus audience on November 21.
Noting that the bishops of Italy had called for special prayers that day for the Church in Iraq, the Pontiff said: “I wish to join this choral appeal to the God of life and peace.”
