UN committee continues unauthorized push for legal abortion

The UN committee supervising implementation of the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) continues to prod member-nations to review any legal restrictions on abortion, the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute reports. Although the CEDAW document does not address the issue, the implementation committee questioned representatives from Dominica, Armenia, Haiti, Cameroon, Libya, Rwanda, Germany, and Guatemala on their nation's abortion laws.
