Scottish priests file complaint with Vatican against Cardinal O'Brien
Catholic World News - February 24, 2014
The Vatican is still investigating charges of homosexual misconduct by Cardinal Keith O’Brien, and the Scottish prelate could face a canonical trial, according to media accounts in Scotland.
Cardinal O’Brien resigned under pressure last year, and admitted that he had been guilty of some misconduct. Now three priests in the Archdiocese of Edinburgh have filed complaints in which they describe Cardinal O’Brien as a “sexual predator.” They priests say that Archbishop Leo Cushley, who succeeded the disgraced cardinal in Edinburgh, has passed on their complaints to the Congregation for Bishops.
