Vatican studying reported miracle attributed to Father McGivney, founder of Knights of Columbus

August 28, 2013

The Vatican is investigating a reported miracle attributed to the intercession of Father Michael McGivney, the founder of the Knights of Columbus, the National Catholic Register reports.

The Congregation for the Causes of Saints will appoint a panel of medical experts to study the reported miracle, and if they conclude that there is no natural explanation for the phenomenon, it will be studied by a group of theologians. If the miracle is finally approved, it would fulfill the requirements for beatification of the Connecticut priest.
