Bangladesh: poor families duped, Christian children sent to Islamic schools
CWN - September 06, 2012
Nearly 300 Christian children have been taken from their families in Bangladesh under false pretenses and forcibly converted to Islam, local sources have told the AsiaNews service.
Impoverished families are persuaded by agents to pay for the education of their children at mission schools, but in fact the children are taken to Islamic schools and required to renounce Christianity, the sources testify. A small number of the children have escaped and returned to their homes to tell their stories.
