Italians oppose same-sex marriage, adoption
CWN - May 22, 2012
Italian public opinion remains firmly opposed to same-sex marriage, a new survey shows.
Only 43.9% of respondents said that they would support homosexual marriage. The result was a disappointment to the poll’s sponsors, who timed its release for the International Day against Homophobia.
Opposition to adoption by same-sex couples was even stronger. Only 20% of the survey respondents thought that same-sex couples should be allowed to adopt children.
