The Evangelical-Catholic Dialogue, meeting from October 17 to 19 in Minnesota, has issued a joint statement on the meaning of Christ’s atonement, according to a press release issued Thursday by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The statement, which will be printed in a forthcoming book, was posted last month on the blog of one of the evangelical participants.
