30,000 from US to attend World Youth Day

Three weeks before the beginning of World Youth Day, 29,437 youth from the United States had registered to attend--“a record number for US participation in a WYD outside of North America,” according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The largest diocesan groups will come from Brooklyn, New York, Boston, and Arlington, Virginia.
