Berlin's incoming archbishop promises meeting with gay activists
Catholic World News - July 13, 2011
Berlin’s newly appointed archbishop has promised to meet with the homosexual activists who have protested his appointment, hoping to convince them of his goodwill.
“We will meet with each other,” said Archbishop-elect Rainer Maria Woelk. He spoke at a press conference that was so heavily attended organizers were forced to find a larger room. The angry protests against his appointment have ensured that his installation will take place under heavy scrutiny.
