British Catholic journalist blasts 'unpardonably sloppy' translation of YouCat
CWN - April 15, 2011
The title tells the story: William Oddie of the Catholic Herald is appalled that the Italian translation of a Vatican-produced youth catechism gave the wrong answer to a question about contraception.
The Vatican is communicating to a worldwide audience, Oddie observes. It's long past time to solve the problem of producing timely and accurate translations of Vatican documents.

Don't worry about it, AgnesDay. The error occurred only in the Italian translation. The English and others are OK and are coming out on schedule. Ignatius published only the English version.

Who is publishing this book? Isn't it Ignatius Press?
