Catholic Recipe: Birthday Cake

When it's not tactful to have a candle for each year, have one for each guest, with a ribbon attached leading to a card with the guest's name and a small corsage for each lady, a boutonniere for each gentlemen.

This is a birthday cake with a different presentation.

DIRECTIONS

Prepare cake mix as directed on package; bake 1 9-inch layer layer and 18 large cupcakes. Cool. Frost top and sides of cake layer. Frost cupcakes upside down. Arrange 7 cupcakes on cake layer; surround with a circle of remaining cupcakes. Top each cupcake with a birthday candle.
