Catholic Recipe: Spanish Eggnog
Eggnog is a delicious New Year's refreshment. This Spanish version uses sherry.
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored. Beat in 1/4 cup sugar slowly. Continue beating until sugar is dissolved. Add milk and sherry; chill. Beat egg whites until stiff; beat in remaining sugar. Spoon into punch bowl. Pour sherry mixture into punch bowl; sprinkle with nutmeg.
