Catholic Recipe: Apple Sauce
Associated with the Roast Stuffed Pork Fillet, traditionally served on St. Martin's Day, as well as the Michaelmas Goose with Potato Apple Stuffing, served on St. Michael's Day, this applesauce dish is an Irish favorite.
DIRECTIONS
Put the chopped apples in a stainless steel or cast-iron saucepan with the sugar and water, cover and cook on a very low heat until they break down into a fluff. Stir, taste for sweetness. Serve warm or cold.
