Catholic Activity: Marian Hymn: Virgin Blessed, Thou Star the Fairest

Hymn that can be sung on Marian feast days. Italian Laude, 15th century. (Sing andante, or slowly.)

DIRECTIONS

1. Virgin blessed, Thou star the fairest,
Brighter none in heaven shining,
Never could my tongue be telling,
O Maria thy beauty rarest.

2. Virgin blessed, enthroned for ever,
Daughter of the Lord and Mother,
To my erring ways bring comfort,
Let Thy mercy forget me never.
