1. A single branch three roses bore, O Maria.
They bloom upon the heav'nly shore, O Maria.

Refrain: O Maria, see we raise
A thousand times our hymns of praise,
Our hymns of praise.

2. What in her womb does Mary bear? O Maria.
As roses bloom an infant fair. O Maria. — Refrain.

3. What on her brow does Mary bear? O Maria.
A crown that God bestowed on her. O Maria. — Refrain.
