DIABOLISM

Any form of intercourse or attempt to deal with the evil spirit by witchcraft, incantations, spiritism, and other occult practices. Strictly speaking, diabolism is the worship of the devil by invoking his assistance, depending on his guidance, and consciously choosing to honor the evil spirit in preference to God. (Etym. Greek diabolos, slanderer.)
