I feel that this is giving out the wrong message, i.e., our Church is changing with the modern world, and people start thinking of themselves as opposed to God.

Maybe one must start with an architect who prays the creed and believes it and reads the bible and is inspired by it. How many of the builders of todays churches are well versed on sacred space and have not read a verse of scripture.

A picture, or in this case two pictures say more than thousands of words can tell... Indeed, Diogenes, the very stones are crying out... and the cement slabs lay silent.... Let's pray that this comparison is brought by a bold & courageous bishop to the next USCCB meeting and set before Bp. Trautman & his "liturgy" committee, crying out as a holy reminder of the damage they have done to the faithful's sense of the Faith... Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us... and for our bishops.

Indeed, benedictusoblatus... The "builder" of the "cathedral" in L.A. went to the county's "Deptartment Of Transportation School for Atheistic Architects, Church Reckovating And Paving" (DOTSAACRAP). Finding it too easy to write his doctoral dissertation on millstone technology and its episcopal application, he chose to write his doctoral dissertation on: "Creativity with cement slabs in parking garages and para-liturgy."

It is self evident that the builder of the new "cathedral" in Los Angeles did not have the same faith as that of the builders of the cathedral in Cologne.
