It is right that the chairman of the US Bishops’ Committee for Religious Liberty has protested the new Federal mandate for employers to grant leave time for abortions.

But the problem is that the bishops collaborated in promoting and passing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act despite warnings that the language of the Act would result in precisely this result.
