Donate One Percent to Trinity Communications
What Is the CatholicCulture.org Credit Card?
It's a CapitalOne Platinum VISA card, available in the United States, through which a certain percentage of all your purchases is donated to Trinity Communications, the non-profit organization which runs CatholicCulture.org. Note that this donation replaces all other rewards programs (points, airline miles, cash back, etc.). You'll receive an annual statement of the amount donated, and it is tax-deductible. The donation percentages are as follows:
- 2% of all gas station and grocery purchases
- 1% of all other purchases
- Up to 10% of purchases made in response to special merchant offers*
In addition, CapitalOne makes a direct donation of $50 to CatholicCulture.org upon each person's first use of the card.
What If I Don't Wish to Get a New Credit Card?

What Does this New Credit Card Mean to CatholicCulture.org?
The average U.S. cardholder charges about $500 per month. But most established families charge substantially more on their main cards. If 100 average households made a point of using the CatholicCulture.org card, our income could easily increase by over $2,000 per month or $25,000 per year. In addition, we receive $50 from CapitalOne upon each person's first use of the card.
How Many Cards Can I Get for My Family?
You can add authorized users to your card. We recommend that the primary wage earner apply for the card. Then, when the card arrives and it is time to activate it, tell the activation representative you wish to add one or more authorized users. CapitalOne will send an additional card for each.
What Card Designs Are Available?
Our current design features our RC (Roman Catholic) logo in the center with the web site name (catholicculture.org) running along each side. We wanted to keep the focus on "Catholic" without being obtrusive. We offer it in three different colors: green, blue and clerical black (see images at right). But you can also design your own card, if you prefer.
I'd Like to Help. How Do I Go About It?
Just follow these three easy steps:
- Go to our special CapitalOne page, choose or create your design, and click APPLY NOW.
- Fill in the simple application form and submit it.
- When the card arrives, activate it in the usual way. (Note: During activation, you can ask for additional cards and/or transfer balances from other cards.)
You'll also receive an email from CapitalOne telling you how to set up your credit card account online. This will enable you easily to track your credit card activity and, if you wish, to opt for paperless statements.
Finally, please let us know if you decide to take our credit card. (CapitalOne posts statistics to the credit card tracking site only once every two weeks.)
