Caritas appeal for Japan
CWN - March 16, 2011
Caritas Internationalis, the consortium of Catholic relief and development agencies, has issued an appeal to assist the victims of the Sendai earthquake and tsunami.
“We have received so many emails from all continents, filled with words of compassion and prayer,” said Bishop Isao Kikuchi, president of Caritas Japan. “We are very grateful for this solidarity. We believe that aid activity is needed, but prayer is also important in such a situation.”
