Egyptian Christians, Muslims cooperate in protests

Christians and Muslims have protected each other during the protest demonstrations in Cairo’s Tahrir Square.
Coptic Christians formed a protective wall around Muslims, allowing them space for noonday prayers. Muslims in turn offered a salute to the Copts slain in Alexandria. BBC reports that a new sign, joining the cross with the crescent, has become increasingly common among the demonstrators.
