Large rally for the family in Spain

Tens of thousands of Spaniards attended an outdoor Mass and rally for the family in Madrid on January 2. Pope Benedict addressed the gathering via satellite.
“Whenever the true worth of matrimony and family values is questioned, negative consequences come forward rapidly,” said Cardinal Antonio Rouco Varela of Madrid.
In recent years, Spain has legalized homosexual marriage and abortion on demand during the first trimester.
