Canadian bishop forgives man who almost killed him

Two months after he was brutally beaten in the cathedral rectory, a Canadian bishop has been released from the hospital and publicly forgave the man who attacked him.
“We are to forgive, that’s the important thing in our life-- all of our lives,” said Bishop David Monroe of Kamloops, British Columbia. “The basic thing is that God loves everyone, and I want to grow in that love, too.”
