Hear the Word 'crying out in the wilderness' through Scripture, Pope urges

At his midday public audience on December 5, the second Sunday of Advent, Pope Benedict XVI said that all Christians are “called to listen to the voice of God crying out in the wilderness of the world through Sacred Scripture.”
The Pope encouraged the faithful to imitate the Virgin Mary, in her “life totally shaped by the Word.”
