Pope mourns death of member of papal household

The Vatican has released a statement in which Pope Benedict XVI laments the sudden death of Manuela Campagni, a member of the papal household, who died in a traffic accident on November 24.
A funeral for Manuela Campagni was held in her native town, San Piero, on November 29. Pope Benedict, in his message to the mourners, said that her death “caused us great suffering which only the faith can sonsole.”
