Milwaukee archdiocese negligent in abuse cases, appeals court confirms

A Wisconsin appeals court has ruled that the Archdiocese of Milwaukee was negligent in its handling of sex-abuse cases, and insurance companies are therefore not liable for the costs of settling abuse lawsuits.
Affirming lower court judgments, the appeals court found that insurance coverage for the archdiocese did not apply to cases involving negligent misrepresentation.
