The editorial page editor of the Colorado Springs Gazette-- which has consistently defended same-sex marriage-- has written a column denouncing the San Francisco board of supervisors’ condemnation of Catholic teaching on homosexuality.
“If City Council passed a resolution denouncing Islam as hateful and ignorant, violence might ensue,” Wayne Laugesen begins. “Yet city government in San Francisco gets to denounce the Catholic Church as hateful and ignorant, because of its anti-gay adoption policies, with the tacit approval of federal judges.”
