New film based on California exorcist

A new film based on a California priest’s training to become an exorcist will be released in theaters in early 2011. The Rite, starring Anthony Hopkins, departs from the facts in some respects; Father Gary Thomas, exorcist for the Diocese of San Jose, says that “in the movie, I don’t start out as a priest. I start out as a seminarian who has a faith crisis.”
