Muslim man dances on altar of Duomo in Florence

CWN - October 19, 2010

A young Muslim man sparked outrage in Florence last week when he climbed onto the altar of the city’s most famous church and danced.

The young man, who has been identified by police as an immigrant from Somalia, made no effort to resist when he was arrested after his brief display in the Duomo. Police report that he is emotionally unbalanced.

Every time a Catholic priest is attacked or killed by a muslim, we are told, "The man is crazy", just as we are being told this man is crazy. Of course he is not crazy. I have just been reading approval of this actions on an English Muslim website. Beyond disgust for the worm under rocks mentality of these people. How temperate our scriptures are and how beautiful are the lessons of our God, Jesus. One day that man & the rest will know the Truth. Pity them. Pray for them. Try to forgive them

What would happen, if I, a Roman Catholic, were to go into a mosque and dance? Would I be declared "emotionally unbalanced" or killed? I've been to that cathedral several times and I can't imagine anyone who has a bit of a brain doing that. I'm simply disgusted with this news item.
