Minnesota bishops: no 'right' to same-sex marriage
CWN - October 11, 2010
The Catholic bishops of Minnesota, pursuing their energetic campaign to safeguard marriage, have released a statement saying that same-sex attraction does not create a legal “right” to same-sex marriage.
The restriction of marriage to male-female couples is not infringement on the equal rights of homosexuals, the bishops argue, but a recognition of the reality of marriage as an institution.
