Appeals court decision resumes federal funding of embryonic stem cell research

A federal appeals court on September 28 permitted the Obama administration to resume funding of embryonic stem cell research while the administration appeals the August decision that banned the funding of the practice.
The White House welcomed the ruling. “President Obama made expansion of stem cell research and the pursuit of groundbreaking treatments and cures a top priority when he took office,” said spokesman Robert Gibbs.
