Israel blocks Palestinian access to Temple Mount
CWN - September 24, 2010
Israeli authorities moved on September 24 to close down access to the mosques on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. Only men over the age of 50 were allowed to enter the mosques for Friday prayers.
The restrictions came in response to riots in Jerusalem, which broke out after Israeli officials killed a Palestinian in a confrontation over new Jewish settlements.
