Milingo lodges claim on property in Lusaka archdiocese

September 13, 2010

Emmanuel Milingo, the former Catholic archbishop who has been excommunicated and laicized after years of attacks on the Catholic Church, has now lodged a claim that the Church seized property that belongs to him in his native Zambia.

The land in question was bought by Milingo while he was serving as Archbishop of Lusaka. But he claims that it is his personal property, rather than the property of the archdiocese. The land is now the site of a hospital run by Catholic religious.
