Seoul conference aims to energize Catholic laity

Father Bernardo Cervellera, the director of the AsiaNews service, reports from the Congress of Asian Catholic Laity, which opened in Seoul this week. Among the themes emerging from the discussions, he reports, are the need to rely on lay Catholics to evangelize society, the importance of making ecclesiastical structures serve the needs of the faithful (rather than vice versa), and the urgency of providing support for healthy family life.
