Pope and former students discuss understanding of Vatican II

The annual Ratzinger Schülerkreis-- the meeting of the Pope’s former theology students—concluded on Sunday, August 29, at Castel Gandolfo.
Archbishop Kurt Koch, the new president of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity addressed the weekend seminar, which was devoted to the topic of interpreting Vatican II. At a concluding Mass on Sunday, the homily was preached by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn of Vienna, who is one of the Pontiff’s old students.
