Scottish hospitals on alert during Pope's visit?
CWN - August 30, 2010
Hospitals in Scotland will be prepared for an emergency during the September visit by Pope Benedict XVI.
The alert seems to be nothing more than a matter of thorough advance planning by organizers for the papal trip. Pope Benedict is 83, and has some history of heart problems. Organizers have apparently taken steps to ensure that in case of an emergency, there will be a plan in place. There is no indication that the planning invokes any new concerns about the Holy Father's health.
