New Orleans archbishop will not attend Obama's talk on Catholic campus

Archbishop Gregory Aymond of New Orleans says that he was not consulted by officials at Xavier University about the August 29 appearance of President Barack Obama. The archbishop says that he will not attend the presidential speech, which will mark the 5th anniversary of the city’s devastation by hurricane Katrina.

    So it's okay for Obama to speak now at Xavier because they already gave him an honorary doctorate. Oh and let's split hairs...no Catholic is under the "legal" control of their bishop. Seems like another pseudo-Catholic school has bit the dust....
