Another bishop ordained in China

With the approval of the Holy See and the consent of Chinese authorities, another bishop has been ordained in China. Msgr. John Baptist Yang Xiaoting, 46, was ordained coadjutor Bishop of Yan’an, a city of 2.2 million in the north-central province of Shaanxi. The diocese has 50,000 Catholics, 20 priests, 24 women religious, and 40 churches and other worship sites.
