Michigan bishop suspends funding of Catholic Campaign for Human Development
CWN - June 18, 2010
A Michigan bishop has temporarily suspended funding of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. “After consulting with a number of advisors, Bishop [Bernard] Hebda has decided that for this year (2010), while CCHD’s systems are under review, a donation will not automatically be sent to CCHD from funds donated through the Diocese of Gaylord’s Catholic Services Appeal Campaign,” said a diocesan spokesman.

Every bishop should be like this bishop! Every bishop should follow suit! There are large numbers of Catholic charities which help the poor instead of funding socialists, Marxists and revolutionaries. There are lots of Catholic charities that contibute according to Church teachings instead of contributing to groups that push abortive contraceptives and gay unions. When the CCHD cleans itself up, we can again contribute. Thank you, Bishop Hebda!

Thank you Bishop Hebda for assuring our money is not used to fund practices that violate the teachings of our Lord and church.

Expect donations to double now that parishioners know that it is not going to CHD grantees.
